Those of you who are oldbies over at BFA are probably already familiar with the name Lali Watt.
For those of you who aren't, Lali is a strong grassroots activist from Wilmette, Illinois, who is now running for Trustee there. She has a proven track record of successful community involvement and political advocacy, and is now quite serious about stopping the right wing from killing off affordable housing in her area. The anti-housing group is organized and running a whole slate of candidates. We can beat them, but we have to start now.
The election is in April.
We are having a low $ fundraiser/meet-and-greet with voters in January, but to do that, we need to do a pre-fundraiser fundraising push, and to do that, we need to get the web site up and running. (BTW, see below for donation info.)
Now that the election is over and everyone has a bit more time to spare, I'm planning to revive Hope for Healthcare, and we need a stable of 4-5 regular bloggers who are conversant in the issue.
